Stancy in NY

Hi,
You are welcomed to use the story on your blog.

I've only made 5 baby quilts --so made a big jump in sizes!! The first one I sewed together by hand - then graduated to a sewing machine. I am fortunate to have a great friend that bought a new sewing machine and gave me her old one.
Son gave me the fabric for a "Christmas present" - asking me to make a queen size quilt for him.  A broke out in a cold sweat thinking -- how can I ever do that when I've only made baby quilts.YIKES!

My friend had an easy pattern and said you can do it.  I hadn't quilted for awhile -  but this got me inspired again. I think having a specific project to work on certainly helped me get moving. Alex learned that quilting involves lots of work!

Now my brother-in-law wants me to make him a quilt - LOL - so after I finish up two more baby quilts - I will probably start one for him and send it to you.
Son's job plan just changed -- so not sure where he will end up!
I was also fortunate to find you on the web -- I liked what you had to say about yourself and glad you took on my quilt.  I was a wreck sending it to you.  I showed my friend the quilt today and she LOVED it too.  She said you did a great job and sewed the binding on beautifully. Thank you again!
Best,
Stancy
